On the 6 th of June 2013, the Organization donated food and other items to The Islamic Research Institute at Nima and The Boys and Girls Correctional Centre at La all in Accra, Ghana to mark its Founder’s Day.
The Founder’s Day Donation is an initiative aimed at using the birthday celebration of the Founder and President of Passion For Needy, Senior Prophet T. B. Joshua to reach out and support the needy in society. This donation is the third in the series of donations made to acknowledge the Founder’s passion in forming the NGO which takes place on or before the 12th of June every year.
The food and other items includes bags of rice and corn, gallons of cooking oil, loaves of bread, cartons of milo beverage, canned fish, canned tomato paste, sachets of filtered water, gallons of liquid soap, cartons of bar soap, toothpaste, toothbrush, sets of bathroom slippers, a sewing machine, a set of satellite dish and decoder and packets of toiletries among others were presented to each of these institutions.
Receiving the items on behalf of the children, Mallam Nurudeen Narry, an Arabic Teacher at The Islamic Research Institute thanked Prophet T.B. Joshua and the NGO for the donation.
He said that the items will go a long way to help them take good care of the orphans that they daily care for at the institution.
On her part, the Centre Manageress of the Boys and Girls Correctional Centre and Shelter for Abused Children, Mrs. Georgina Mensah also thanked the NGO for the kind gesture.
She said that institutions such as theirs rely a lot on support to operate. She therefore appealed to like minded individuals and organization to emulate this example
